For my graduate project, I directed and produced Hadiah untuk Mama (Gift for Mom), a heartfelt 3D animated short film inspired by my own childhood. The film follows a young girl who forgets her mother's birthday and excitedly plans to buy ice cream instead. When she suddenly remembers the special day, she decides to create a handmade gift. With a little help from magic, her simple craft transforms into something special, leading to a heartwarming moment between mother and daughter.

The 3-minute 15-second film was produced over approximately six months using Autodesk Maya, Substance Painter, and Adobe Premiere Pro. I independently completed the entire visual production, from story development to the finished film.

 

I also collaborated with an external audio team throughout production. The original music was composed by Xinrui Liu (University of Bristol), while the sound design was created by Nyah Strevens, Sam Grieves, Azariah Wallace, Cleo Constantinou, Ayman Meddour, Ted Sheppard, and Milo Bradley (Bath Spa University).

Through this project, I strengthened my skills in storytelling, project management, and the complete 3D animation pipeline while gaining valuable experience leading a production from concept to to completion.

The film is currently being submitted to film festivals and is not yet available for public viewing.
